The conference is scheduled to hold in Lagos, Nigeria from the 22nd - 24th of December 2015. Participation is for all family members with particular emphasis on those aged 18 years and above (up to and beyond Mummy Sogbesan).

 

The first two days will feature the actual Family Conference (for ages 18 and above)‎ and the last day will be a FUN day in which all family members are expected to participate, and will include a celebratory Christmas Eve Party.

 

We anticipate that family members from all over the world will travel to join the conference in Lagos. To this extent several 'save the date' text messages and emails have been sent a few times since July 2015 to enable early planning and flight booking for those based abroad and outside Lagos. I hope you received at least one of such messages and have made reservations accordingly. If not please commence arrangements to be part of this family event and make appropriate travel arrangements. 

 

To give some context as to the reasons for the conference, the family has grown significantly since the days of our ancestors: Ohade Etomi, Emuata Etomi, Momo Etomi, Bernard Hanoba Etomi and Thomas Okojie, and we run the risk of losing touch with each other, especially as there are family members living in all parts of the world. Furthermore, it is important to for us to remind ourselves of who we are, understand our family values and history (which will help us on our life journey) and get to connect (or reconnect, as the case may be) with other members of this our global family.

 

The conference will provide the opportunity to learn about the family history, meet and network with family members and also learn business and life survival skills from older family members and successful industry leaders in Nigeria. Finally we intend to have fun together.
